Project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. Every project has a start date and end date.
The temporary nature of projects indicates a beginning and an end to the project work.

Projects can stand alone or be part of a program or portfolio.

More specifically, a project is a series of structured tasks, activities, and deliverables that are carefully executed to achieve a desired outcome.
And outcome may be a unique product, service, or a result.
